Cambridge O and A Levels

Logos College offers students of Grade 9 and above the ability to sit for the Cambridge Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations. The school works with the British Council Sri Lanka to offer these examination facilities to those interested in following this education system.

Students are required to sit for an aptitude test in Grade 8 which will test them on their proficiency in the English Language, Mathematics and, for those who wish to take Science related subjects for their OL’s, Science.

Cambridge Ordinary Level classes begin in January of the Grade 9 academic year, and these students will sit for their O Levels in May/June of Grade 11.

Cambridge Advanced Level classes begin in September of the year of the O Level sitting, with students sitting for their Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level exams in the May/June of the next year, and their Advanced Level (A2) examinations in the following year.

Students from the National G.C.E stream who wish to join the Cambridge A Level classes will also have to sit for an aptitude test to obtain the neccesary level of competance to sit for this examination.
